I am studying the role played in cardiogenesis by the ETS-domain
transcription factors Erm and Pea3, two apparent downstream
targets of the FGF8 pathway. I intend to inject one-cell-stage
embryos from the FGF8 mutant line acerebellar with erm and pea3
to determine whether these genes can rescue expression of cardiac
markers. I will also attempt to determine some of the downstream
targets of Pea3 and FGF8.
